When you call during opening hours, our team will ask a few quick questions to assess the situation. We'll advise you on whether to come in immediately and what to do on the way.
Your pet will be seen as a priority on arrival. Please call ahead rather than simply turning up — this helps us be ready for you.
Opening hours:
Monday – Friday: 08:30 – 19:00
Saturday: 09:00 – 17:00
Out-of-hours emergency care
If your pet needs urgent care outside our opening hours, we have an out-of-hours emergency service available. Details of the out-of-hours provider are on our answerphone.

Signs that need urgent veterinary attention
If your pet is showing any of the following, call us immediately.
- Difficulty breathing or choking
- Collapse, unconsciousness, or seizure
- Suspected poisoning or toxic ingestion
- Severe bleeding or deep wounds
- Suspected broken bones or inability to bear weight
- Bloated or distended abdomen (especially large dogs)
- Urinary blockage — especially male cats who cannot urinate
- Eye injuries or sudden loss of vision
- Prolonged vomiting or severe diarrhoea
- Signs of extreme pain or distress
- Loss of balance or sudden weakness
- Heatstroke — especially after time in a hot car or garden
If in doubt, always call. We would rather reassure you that everything is fine than have you wait too long.
